Elliot (Thoth) is a 5 stars Inferno Controller esper in Dislyte.
A tanky bruiser/controller that can disrupt the enemy with skill cooldown increase and taunts. Due to his high hp and damage scaling via his hp, he excels in content such as the temporal tower and PvP (both Point Wars and Holobattle). His main goal is to taunt key targets or increase the skill cooldown of dangerous targets. Due to his high base speed on top of ascension speed upgrade, he has the same base speed as Dhalia and he can contest for first turn if needed.
He does especially well against cleave type comps as his skill 3 will reduce cooldown when hit every turn. Overall, he is a good unit that can prevent dangerous units from using their skills, providing that Elliot can go first.
For new players though, he isn't top priority. He is more of a mid game to late game esper.
