Path to Nowhere Tier List [Re-roll Guide for Beginners]
Spread the love

Overview

Welcome to the Path of Nowhere tier list! In this beginner guide, we will share with you what we found and you can use this information to decide who you want to re-roll for. Given that they give you a guarantee S unit on your first 10 pulls and with the rewards from the pre-registration, you can get 30 rolls. In that roll, you would ideally want to get another S unit in there alongside a couple of good A and B units.

We will be translating most of the wiki into proper English soon, so please bare with us for the time being.

The tier list will be split into each role available in the game. They are:

  • Endura – Able to effectively block monsters and absorb damage. (Usually can block 2 monsters)
  • Fury – Able to directly fight monsters and deal damage (usually physical attacks)
  • Umbra – Highly mobile and able to deal effective damage. Some can change positions using their skills.
  • Reticle – Able to provide ranged damage (usually physical attacks)
  • Arcane – Able to deal explosive damage (Usually has ranged AoE magical attacks)
  • Catalyst – Able to provide a variety of buffs and debuffs (and some have heals)

Also any unit with a red symbol such as EMP or Pacassi, their special attacks can break enemy core, which is good against mini monsters and big bosses.

The rankings will be rated from SS, S+, S, A and B. This is compiled by the community and the people that have started in the Chinese server 1 month ago. They have a better idea of who is good in the early game, which is vital for progression. Below is a video of Borkono explaining about the tier list if you don’t want to read.

Endura Tier List

Tier SS

Currently the best S rarity tank. His special attack gets a pretty thick shield for himself and also provides a shield for all allies that are behind him in a cone shape. On top of his special attack, his passive also gives him an automatic shield every so often. As his health drops lower, his shield starts to become larger.

Tier S+

Chelsea is a very solid unit that can summon a panther that can block 2 enemies on the field of her choice. Do keep in mind that she can only block 1 enemy, unlike other Enduras. However, this is great as that allows her to block 3 enemies when she can summon her panther. Both her and her panther has a chance to petrify enemies when attacking. On top of that, she also gets a passive damage reduction.

Demolia might be only a B rarity character, but she is quite solid. She has self heal, so she will be able to tank incoming damage without needing a healer. When she blocks enemies, her healing efficiency increases. Her special ability allows her to block 1 more enemy as long as she is above a certain HP threshold, making her ideal for stages that need to block many enemies.

Tier S

KK would be 1 tier higher if she had more utility. She boosts her defense by quite a bit using her special, but she cannot recover energy during that time frame. Her passive allows her to stack up her defense every time she is hit, up to 20 times. Blocking any enemies will also increase her defense as well. She will need healers to back her up in tougher stages though.

Peggy is the budget Demon, with her special gaining a nice shield for herself and while she has this shield, she heals herself. She can also gain a shield when hitting enemies. Too bad she can’t shield allies. When she is under her own special buff, she doesn’t attack and instead reduces enemy attack speed. This can be good or bad depending on the situation.

Kawa-Kawa is a defender that can heal any ally till the end of battle with her special on top of healing a small amount to all allies. This makes her quite good in maps where your allies need some healing to ensure survival. She also has increased magical resistance from her passive.

Tier A

Cinnabar is a more offensive unit where she can shield allies within a 3×3 range, but she cannot restore energy during a short duration. She does have a stronger multiplier on her normal attack compared to other Endura units. She is best used with other units that can provide shield to their allies as she increases the shield efficiency by a certain percentage.

Tier B

None.

Fury Tier List

Tier SS

Given to us for free after completing the newbie 14 day event. A top tier  physical DPS unit that has a 3×3 grid AoE special attack in front of her. Her passive permanently decreases enemy defense by a certain percentage. As she kills more enemies, she also gains more attack. You cannot really go wrong with getting her. In fact, she can be the only carry for your team in story mode alongside whoever you got from your first 10 beginner summons if you want to save your crystals for future units.

Tier S+

Zoya is another decent pick if you can get her. She gets an 3×3 AoE physical special attack. She can deal true damage to the enemy, thus ignoring an enemies high physical defense, which more of them will appear in latter story stages. She also has a passive that grants her bonus attack speed.

Tier S

Pacassi is a magical attacker that also has a 3×3 grid attack that can break enemy core shield. This makes it very useful as not many fury units can break core, especially as a magical attacker. She also has an AoE magical damage over time passive which is great in chipping away at enemy health. I am currently using her as my fury attacker instead of Zoya.

Che is surprisingly good for a B rarity unit. Like Pacassi, she deals core damage in front of her in a 3x3x1 grid in front of her. She casts her own special debuff after using her special attack, causing her to do more damage to those that are stacked with her special debuff.

Wendy, our first free unit is also a force to be reckoned with. Her special attack is a 3×3 wide attack where she spins around like a maniac with her chain saw. She can deal a lot of burst damage thanks to her passive. She will also help carry you in story mode without needing to pull any additional fury units like Zoya.

Tier A

Ninety-nine is a bit like a berserker, where she exchanges the lost of her health for bonus damage and speed. During her special attack, she will lose health and gain bonus attack while having staggering damage taken during that time duration. She will need a healer to keep her alive, so be mindful of that.

Hella is also given to you early on in chapter 1. She is decent as she can self regenerate if she isn’t taking damage after a short duration. Her special attack gives her increased damage. I would prefer Wendy over her due to her lacking AoE attacks.

Horo is one of the few fury units that can also deal core damage with her special attack. It does come at the cost of lower damage after using the special attack. This might turn people away from her due to this drawback. However, she also can recover health on her own when attacking.

Dolly has a special buff that increases her attack damage and speed greatly for 6 hits. Her passive allows her to hit multiple enemies in the same square, which is good considering most fury units can only hit 1 target at a time.

Tier B

Pepper’s special gives her a huge boost in attack speed at the cost of not being able to gain energy during that time frame. She has some damage over time mechanic from her passive. I think she is ranked low due to her lack of burst damage. Her own special debuff, however, can reduce enemy defense, which is useful.

Umbra Tier List

Umbra units can all deal core damage, which is very important against big bosses.

Tier SS

Key core damage dealer Baiyi can dish out a lot of damage in a short period of time. Her special attack deals 1 core damage to all enemies in a cross area and she also gains critical rate boost. Her first passive allows her to stack more attack speed, allowing her to deal more damage over time. Her second passive grants her more innate critical rate and she gains 1 energy per critical strike.

Labyrinth is given to you early on after chapter 1. Her special allows her to deal core damage in a “+” area around her. The good thing it can store 2 charges, which allows her to break 2 core shields if needed. This put her as a top tier unit despite being only a B rarity character.

Tier S+

Crache deals heavy AoE core damage when using her special, but it comes at the cost of being unable to block an enemy. This move can be canceled if she gets shifted to another position. She is a pure physical damage dealer.

Serpent is a magical attacking assassin. She has a strong AoE magical attack damage special that covers a 3×3 area around her. Her normal attack range also increases when no enemies are nearby her, making her a very good assassin sniper. Her own special debuff can also lower enemy movement speed and gives her bonus attack speed.

Tier S

Tetra is a mobile unit that can move to a new position when using her special while dealing good AoE damage. When she kills an enemy, she gains some crit rate bonus. She can also stun enemy if she crits (has a cooldown). Overall quite decent if you cannot get Baiyi.

Tier A

Sumire has a special that hits 4 rows in front of her in a line. Can be very useful in narrow maps where enemies all travel in a line. Sumire also gains bonus damage when someone is in front of her. Her other passive also can hit multiple enemies in front of her every once in a while.

As for Iron, she can move to another position with her special and deal decent damage. She has both physical penetration, which is good since some enemies have more physical defense.

Tier B

Gekkabijin, like Labyrinth, can also store up to 2 special attacks and thus being able to take out 2 core shields if needed. Although I am not sure why she is ranked so low on the tier list.

Reticle Tier List

Reticle units are the long range snipers that can do a lot of damage. They are my favorite class, but keep in mind they are fragile and can die easily compared to other classes.

Tier SS

Langley is the top choice here due to her special being able to hit a specific 3×3 area of your choice. On top of that, she can also deal core damage to key bosses or mini monsters. Her own special debuff will further increase her damage based on the number of stacks on the enemy. And when an enemy dies, it will trigger explosion damage to nearby enemies. If you are lucky enough to get her, she will carry you in story mode.

Tier S+

EMP is also a free character gotten from chapter 1 story mode. A good backup unit if you didn’t get Langley. I am currently using her and she gets the job done. Her special attack can snipe out low HP units and also deal core damage at the same time. She also crits often thanks to her special buff. She also gets an attack bonus that lasts the entire battle when killing an enemy.

Pricilla is a pure ranged DPS that has a special that further improves her normal attack but comes at the cost of not being able to recover energy during that time.. She can summon a clone of herself to attack as well, which is decent. However, with EMP, I think she might not be needed.

RouLecca is also a pure ranged DPS that gains bonus damage with her special attack. She has a chance to gain crit rate and crit damage when attacking that increases in tier, up to 4 times.

Summer reminds me of Nu Gundam’s fin funnels. She can summon cannons to attack her enemies with her special attack. She is also a pure DPS unit without additional utility. Her cannons can gain 100% crit rate once in battle for maximum burst damage.

Tier S

Flora is more of a heavy hitter with her special attack, giving bonus damage at the cost of attack speed and not being able to gain energy during that time. She does gain more crit rate for each normal attack she does. She also has an additional utility of being able to stun the enemy.

Tier A

Wolverine is more of a utility sniper that can stun enemies with his special attack via traps. This will stall the enemy and is very useful in trapping problem units. I suspect he is ranked a bit lower as the story mode doesn’t require many crowd control units just yet. However, he might become very useful in tougher battles.

Tier B

None here.

Arcane Tier List

Tier SS

Super good ranged magical attacker.

  • Auto skill great range
  • S1 Black hole 3×3 depends on placement
  • Passive Ally Ultimate trigger additional damage
  • Passive Within chief range increases her energy
  • Energy is great for getting more skills off
  • Unfortunately this passive is 30 seconds so not ideal

Tier S+

Hecate is given to you at the start early on. The good thing about her is she can deal core damage with her special attack (you pick the location anywhere in front of her), which is good against bosses and mini monsters that have core shields on them. Keep in mind that her special attack hits everyone in that one block, so it can hit more than 1 enemy if they are clumped up together.

Luvia Ray’s special increases her attack speed so she can deal more damage. This complements her normal attack, which is like a chain lightning that can bounce off enemies and deal damage. Her passive also further improves her normal attack damage.

Victoria’s specialty is like a berseker. She deals damage at the cost of her own HP and deals AoE damage that hits 3×1 blocks of your choice. She can mark enemies with her own debuff and heal herself back over time. Also, she gains more attack as her health gets lower.

Tier S

Joan has decent AoE damage and like Luvia Ray also gains attack speed on her special. Any units that are hit by her debuff will take more damage based on the number of stacks of her debuff.

OliFeR is a core damage dealer much like Hecate. Since Hecate is free, she is easier to get and build early on. OliFeR has her own special debuff when her special attack hits the enemy. She has a better range than Hecate as it hits a “+” range anywhere in front of her.

Kelvin is ice based and her special attack hits 3×3 anywhere in front of her that she chooses. It creates a 3×3 field and it also slows down enemies within it. On top of damage, she also provides additional utility by being able to reduce the damage taken of the lowest HP ally with her passive.

Ignis is the fire based magical attacker that has a ranged “+” attack that she can choose anywhere in front of her. Enemies hit by her special attack cannot heal themselves. After some hits, she will cast an additional meteor for more damage and she also does burning damage over time from her passive.

Tier A

None.

Tier B

None.

Catalyst Tier List

Tier SS

Hamel is on the top as she is a healer that can heal every attack and heals one block (3×3) around her.

  • S1 increases effect
  • Passive increases effect within 3×3
  • Passive damage reduction within 3×3

Do keep in mind that Hamel cannot attack nor block enemies.

Tier S+

If you did not get Hamel, Ariel is a very good second choice. She has a wide range magical normal attack. Her special works just like Hamel’s special, which heals a 3×3 area. In terms of raw healing, Hamel is better, but Ariel can actually attack.

Tier S

If you were not lucky enough to get Ariel or Hamel, the Macchiato can do the job just fine. The good thing about this game is that the lower rarity units are very viable. Macchiato doesn’t have an AoE heal, but her special provides a single target heal for any ally on the field. She also has a decent range of normal magical attacks.

Anne has a much bigger range of heal on her special attack, but it comes at the cost of not being able to recover her energy during that time.

Tier A

Fox doesn’t heal, but he provides damage reduction to all allies. I think healing is preferred, that is why he ranks lower. As for Chameleon, she can buff an ally attack speed, which is mostly useful for other classes that can hit hard, such as DPS units.

Tier B

Lisa slows down the movement speed of enemy units behind and in front of her. Probably good for niche missions, but overall pales in comparison to other supports.

How to Re-roll

This game is a bit harder to re-roll. Here is a quick video showing you how to re-roll if you want to.

And the final thought here is to enjoy the game! I personally am not re-rolling and will be going with only Hamel after 20 pulls.
